Personal Statement
I began my educational journey at Rose State College, where I earned an Associate's Degree in General Studies. I went back to school at Mid-America Christian University the following semester to pursue a Degree in Psychology. It is my belief that once I started school at Mid-America Christian University, I began to learn in a much different way than ever before. After completing my first two semesters at MACU growing closer and closer to the University is exactly what I was doing. I began working two student worker jobs on top of participating in athletics on Mid-America Christian University's baseball team. I had the privilege to work jobs that led me to help and reach a lot of students. After being able to help fellow students, I realized helping people is what I wanted to do for a career. I graduated from Mid-America Christian University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology in the spring of 2017.

As stated earlier, I truly enjoy being able to help others. It is my belief that the want and need to help others has become one of my biggest assets. The opportunity that would be provided through this program would prepare me to give quality professional help to those who so desperately need it. The two biggest areas of growth for me would be learning new concepts and the process of application. In society today, well-rounded counselors are extremely important when it comes to believing in values, morals, and ethics now more than ever. It is my belief that Mid-America Christian University is the perfect place for me to grasp these concepts and many key theories that will aid in the development of becoming a well-rounded Licensed Professional
