Throughout this essay it will critically analyse and evaluate the sequence of the lesson plans which have been designed to foster and develop students learning outcomes. They are intended to engage students in relevant learning experiences that are related to the history curriculum. It will address how well the lessons acknowledge and make connections with the Australian curriculum: History and the pedagogical requirements. It will discuss the appropriateness and reliability of the resources and evaluate the evidence of the existence of community partnerships with in the Year Six level Australian Curriculum: History. It will provide evidence based justifications and explanation of the responses provided explaining the effectiveness of the lesson plans. Covering the strands of historical content for the Year Six curriculum level; historical knowledge and understanding as well as historical skills, the sequenced lesson plans address Australian historical history (ACARA, 2015). The children are able to explore empathy and significance, sources, continuity and change, cause and effect and perspectives through the inquiry question which are all key concepts outlined in the Year Six level history rationale (ACARA, 2015).
