There are a lot of issues in this world. Some we have settled down and some battles we are still fighting. There are multiple issues that most people have either forgotten about or don’t know exist. There is one nineteen year old, Zach Hunter that has brought an issue to attention. What is this issue you might ask? Slavery. A substantial amount of people don’t realize how common modern day slavery is. I think that Zach Hunter is the most valuable person because he addresses one of the most important issues most of our world doesn’t notice. Zach Hunter originally found out about the issue when we was in seventh grade. He was also in seventh grade when he started his campaign lose change to loosen chains. More than double the amount of slaves during the transatlantic slave trade in 1807 to 1870. During the transatlantic slave trade there were twelve point five million slaves through 1807 through 1870. As counted in 2017 there were twenty seven million slaves that we know of. There is an estimated three thousand undocumented slaves kept in captivity and kept under the radar. Zach Hunter not only seeks to stop modern day slavery but also wants to stop human trafficking. Human trafficking is the illegal practice of selling humans for money, goods, or other humans. Most people think that slavery and human trafficking starts with dramatic kidnapping and luring children into cars and vans. This is usually not the case slavery and human trafficking most commonly begin by parents or guardians being in debt and owing money. Most parents are told that their child will have a better education and will be provided for better than the parents could provide.
