Zappos is only fit for certain people. Their company culture is unique. The company decided what the corporate culture needs to look like and supports that culture through Human Resources and management. Months can pass between the first interview with an HR recruiter and an actual job offer. If a potential employee fails to pass the cultural fit interview, he or she is not invited to meet the manager. This approach to interviewing allows interviewers to evaluate a candidate's potential ability to fit within the culture and to show the necessary skills. They have an employee who organizes these tours and the company will even pick you up at the airport and bring you to their location if you've arrived in town for the tour.
