Sending many letters to the police. The Zodiac case remains unsolved to this day. I chose the topic about the Zodiac Killer, because the mysteries around his gruesome crimes interest me. Since he has never been caught, his murders seem to have more mystery and a different creepiness to the. Some if them are things like prints left at the scenes or composite sketches. One of the leads is from a survivor of an attack that was able to give a detailed description that was used for a composite sketch. Other leads include a solved cipher that gives us insight on the mind of the killer. Also the writing, saliva, and prints on the letters and envelopes sent by the murderer help get us closer to find him.
The Murders Stop- Conspiracy Theories Many conspiracies have popped up around the Zodiac Killer. One of the best conspiracy theories of the Zodiac Killer is that he was a cop or soldier. This is a conspiracy theory because his attacks took place in very public places and it seemed that he almost knew when the police wouldn’t be there. It would also explain why he wore military issued boots and witnesses recalling him having a crew cut. Finally his murders stopped during the time of the Vietnam war, so it is possible he was deployed in the war or he died, was imprisoned, fled the country, or just stopped killing. Another conspiracy theory that is commonly used is that Texas Senator, Ted Cruz was the Zodiac Killer. This is because he kind of looks like the sketches of the killer. However, this isn’t a very good theory at all because Ted Cruz is too young to be the Zodiac
