I think we need to continue paying attention to the quality and continuous improvement of childcare by always looking to see what we can add to help the children succeed further in learning and imagination. Some of the factors that contribute to my challenges are the parents can’t afford to make payment at times. Always told they make too much to get help from outside sources. I feel as though my program offers meaningful learning experiences at a fair price.
Explain the importance of demonstrating anti-discriminatory/anti-bias practice when working with children and young people: The importance of demonstrating anti-discriminatory/anti-bias in a work setting is to help prevent discrimination towards any individual children, members of staff or parents and to help promote equal opportunities. In early childhood education institutions, we should actively recognise and acknowledge openly addressing any inequalities that affect marginalised groups. The ‘diversity and difference’ subject has given me the opportunity to explore and analyse social justice concepts in depth and its importance in early childhood education. Cultural plunges challenged my personal beliefs and biased views towards a particular community to create a positive attitude towards cultural practices and skills for interactions across all cultures. It explains the topic of social order, sense of otherness and power relations that currently exists in society, how it persists based on their culture, ethnicity, gender, income, sexuality, ability, disability and religion.
