Each year, there are over 3.2 million students who are victims of bullying (11 Facts About Bullying) . Thousands of teenagers skip school everyday because of bullying. Bullying has a highly negative impact on people's lives. It includes physical bullying, emotional bullying, cyber bullying, etc. It can make the victim's life more miserable and difficult. Depression, poor academic performance in school, and isolation are the three main effects of bullying.

The most prominent consequence of bullying is depression. Bullying increases the risk of depression. It can change the person's personality. Being bullied can make people become self concious, shy, sad, and have no confidence, which leads to keeping them from trying new things. That is why most victims start to develop anxiety and low self esteem. People who have been bullied get scared and upset that they see no worth in themselves. This will result into having suicidal thoughts. "It's living in constant fear of being a victim" (Brian Krans, 2013). Those who are bullied have an increased risk of suicide. Kids who are bullied in school have increased anxiety and fear. Their fear interferes with their learning thus it will make them dislike school. Those students may feel threatened most of the time, so they avoid going to school which will result in a low grade for attendance.
