The CIA stands for Central Intelligence Agency. Their job is to gather data and intelligence on potential threats to the United States. According to www.RT.com in an article written by Jim young one of the most shocking things that is in the CIA torture report was that prisoners were “frozen to death”.George Orwell’s novel 1984 has illustrated an accurate representation of divisions in our modern day government. The C.I.A torture report is the product of six years worth of investigation into the “enhanced interrogation techniques” used by the CIA against suspected terrorist in unknown locations around the world. Which shows how much trust they had in the program to begin with If they were under investigation for six years. As opposed to the ministry of love from 1984 who have free rein to do whatever they want to who ever they want. which is exactly what they did to Winston smith and julia. but wait they were not terrorist. Were they? To us they were just a couple of people who were seeking basic humans rights but to BIG BROTHER,The party, O’brien they were a threat to their horrific way of life. which has to make you wonder how arabs or people from the middle east view us.

For some in the CIA the answer would be no. They were found to bend the rules of The geneva convention. The common article three of the Geneva conventions has a different answer. The geneva convention is a list of rules and ethics for soldiers on both sides of a war concerning the treatment of POW’s (prisoners of war) and civilians. It was Created After The Second World War in Geneva Switzerland.
