Many years ago, two men who went by the names of Aldous Huxley and George Orwell, had the same ideals of a idea on how the future would be, wrote two of the most controversial books in society itself. These two books whose names are “Brave New World” and “1984” , who both knew what a World War was, and who knew what kind control the government had over the people,and clearly knew what they were talking about. Like Orwell’s “1984” read,” The past was dead, the future was unimaginable,” Part 1, Chapter 2, pg.28. Who would know that these books would resonate to this day. To prevent any suspect movements under the borders of this nation ( The U.S.of.A) Ian Crouch,author of this article from “The New Yorker” which his header says,” So Are We Living in 1984?”,and he states,”The N.S.A., on the other hand, is primarily interested in overt acts, of terrorism and its threats, and presumably—or at least hopefully—less so in the thoughts themselves...The N.S.A., specifically, targets the communications of everyone.” But wait, isn’t the government violating the right to privacy of the citizens of the U.S.? As a passage of the book “1984” states in the first chapter of the book,"There was of course no way of knowing whether you were being watched at any given moment. How often, or on what system, the Thought Police plugged in on any individual wire was guesswork. It was even conceivable that they watched everybody all the time. But at any rate they could plug in your wire whenever they wanted to. You had to live—did live, from habit that became instinct—in the assumption that every sound you made was overheard, and, except in darkness, every movement scrutinized." Being watched by a certain someone is completely terrifying under anyone's eyes. The question is now, how could today's generation acquire complete freedom, when we have the government is trying to give us that protection from “terrorist attacks” and other evils that we want to stay away from, yet, we won’t let the government invade our privacy. Has Huxley prophesied the way that we consume products in today's society? And what would his take be on the way our people consume products, and one of those products might be “sex”? Adam Kirsch from the “New York Times” says,” What has come true in ,”Brave New World,” to a much larger extent, is the liberation of sexuality...more explicitly erotic music...wear more sexually revealing clothes…” and etc. How” Brave New World's” society, created by Huxley, would astonish him, because that is what he was looking for.
