This presidential debate brings up many perspectives and conflict in which candidate would make a better president. Simply said, this presidential race, is like no other. In the article “If Necessary, I’ll Vote Trump Over Hillary,” that was published in February 24, 2016 by Nicole Russel, does not represent a good overview of the both candidates due to her bias opinions The Federalist Article, lacks details of Trump, but explores in depth of Hillary. Russel explains how “Clinton Has a Terrible Track Record” by breaking down the issues she faced as the Secretary of state. Furthermore, Russel explains how Hillary is proven to be a liar, and a example such as her “illegal” use of a personal email was brought up.
en Z1791763 EPFE 321 Mid-term Over the years there have been many different views on the direction that education and schooling will take in the role of the United States society taken by influential people. Some of these people included the Puritans of the Plymouth Colony, who believed that children needed to work to prevent them from being influenced by the devil. Thomas Jefferson who believed that everyone needs to be educated for the betterment of society and that people should earn their respect and merits and that it shouldn’t be just given out for nothing. Horace Mann started to try and standardize schooling so that if children moved they would still be learning nearly the same curriculum that they had left, he also tried to further
Modern public education is thought as a device used to gauge the intellects of students solely by their potential and their drive for education fairly and evenly, along with sparking interest in the student to create a lifelong bond with their future career. The public education system is gravely flawed in America and has fallen behind in comparison to other countries. The education system in America provides a disadvantaged education for poorer schools, and an outstanding unemployment of college students after. The American education system: highschool and college, has become increasingly difficult and albeit impossible to acquire a stable financial flow and secured success from high school and an undergraduate degree alone. Public schooling
The documentary “Class Divided” is a video that was done in the early 1960s to show students how racism and discrimination is shown, and how to put yourself in that other persons shoes. The teacher had divided her students into two different groups based on their eye color. This exercise shows the students how discrimination racism can cause so much trouble and drama. It shows that we take this on because of our surroundings and how we are taught growing up. I felt that this video is perfect for what we have been learning and doing in our last discussion.
The United States presidential election is extremely important for all citizens and even immigrants. We have two main candidates running for the 2016 election, the Republicans have Donald Trump , and the Democrats have Hillary Clinton. When considering who one wants to elect we must be educated and aware of policies and a variety of issues, such as immigration, the candidate may want to change if elected into office. Changes will affect society in good ways and also bad.
Although a copious amount of people claim that the election betwixt George W. Bush and Al Gore was candid, I have deduced that it in fact was illegitimate and that Al Gore should have won. For instance, in the film Recount it is announced that the machines increased Bush’s votes by three thousand votes and seized thousands of votes from Gore. Because the difference of votes was only one thousand seven hundred and eighty four and if those thousands were not affixed to Bush’s votes and deducted from Gore’s votes, Gore would have obtained the majority of the votes. In addition, people in Florida were perplexed by the voting ballots, they were design in a manner which the voters were left dumbfounded. Because of the perplexing format of the ballots
Hanging Chad, undervotes, overvotes, Supreme Court, State Court. Words that all describe the 2000 election for President of the United States. The election between candidate Al Gore and George Bush came down to Florida. The results were not determined overnight. It took 36 days for Al Gore to concede the election results.

Donald Trump has a higher following than his presidential race counterpart Hillary Clinton among the white evangelicals, according to a new CBS poll. About 62 percent of the white evangelicals are supporting Trump, while only 17 percent favor Clinton, which gives Trump an edge by a wide margin of 3 to 1 over his competitor among this group. White men were more likely to support Trump (51 percent) than Clinton (31 percent), and white women preferred Clinton (43 percent) over Trump (35 percent). As many as 73 percent of Republicans supported Trump, as against Clinton (6 percent).
US Elections By: Kismat In my opinion Donald Trump should not have been voted for president. His thoughts and views about the world are really unusual. He is a racist and he has some bizarre ideas which I doubt would make America a better place.
One of the history's greatest figures, Nelson Mandela, once said: “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” Over the course of years, this statement has only become more relevant. Maybe that is the reason why the topic of the decline of the American education has been recently spurring such a heated debate among national academic and teaching communities. In “The Chronicle of Higher Education”, Carl Singleton, a faculty member at Fort Hays State University, also presented his reflections concerning the U.S. education system.
Following the election up to the inauguration shows the steps taken from both the current president and the president-elect to create a smooth transition of power, even when the party in power is changing. In class, the process of cabinet nominations was discussed, and it was clearly shown through this issue--the president-elect makes nominations for the department heads, like Trump’s nomination of James Mattis as defense secretary, which are either accepted or turned down by the nominee, and then approved or denied by the Senate after inauguration (“Trump Names Gen”). This issue also expanded on the differences among the political parties, and the contrasting party ideas. For example, Trump has already claimed he will expand US nuclear power, a conservative view, and has nominated conservative cabinet picks, appeasing his Republican party (“Donald Trump: US”). Also, Trump’s claims to change foreign relations in China when questioning the One-China policy relates back to the president’s role concerning foreign countries (“China”).
In recent years, education funding has been subjected to cuts and budget constraints, some of them due to the pandemic, which destabilized the state’s economy. To address this issue, the state must prioritize education funding and explore ways to increase revenue streams that help alleviate economic crises without cutting education funding. All in all, the state of Illinois must continue to prioritize education funding, increase education funding, work towards decreasing its reliance on property taxes and work towards a more equitable system. It is imperative that the state recognizes that access to quality education is a fundamental right for all students, regardless of their socio-economic background, and that it is its responsibility to guarantee that all students have the same educational opportunities.
By the time the 2008 elections came around, I was so pissed off that I almost didn't show up to vote. Finally, I decided to vote because of two reasons. First, because I watched a clip of Noam Chomsky explaining why, in his thinking, people in swing states should vote for the democrats while those not living in swing states should vote for third party candidates. His point is that minor policy differences matter in peoples' everyday, real-world lives. And he's right.
