What is solar energy? Solar energy is heat and light from the sun used for energy. We are JAM Energy and we would like you to choose our proposal for solar energy. Solar energy is a renewable energy resource that is created everyday and is created all around the world. Solar energy is used in all regions of NC but the region we will be talking about is the tidewater region. The tidewater region is the region where our oceans and natural rivers are found. It is located on the east side of North Carolina. Solar energy is created by the sun’s heat. Solar panels are what generate the light and heat given by the sun and help turn it into energy. From that point the energy is used for different things. Some examples of how solar energy is used are, being used to heat, cool, and light houses, businesses, and other things. It can also be used to produce electricity on a massive scale to power cities and small towns. Some people use this as their main energy source. Solar energy can also be used to charge people’s electronic devices. There are still other ways that solar energy is used. Scientists are still studying ways that is is used. They are also studying to find more way for it to be used in the future. Solar energy can help our environment because it is a renewable source. Solar energy is stored in batteries but it depends on when the energy is going to be used for it to be used/stored in other ways. If the energy is not stored it is released right then and is used for electricity. People who use solar energy to operate their houses sometimes have to store the energy in case it is cloudy or rainy one day and the sun doesn’t come out to give them more energy.
