From the first invention to the numerous inventions being made now, technology has changed over time for the good of our economy for the worse of our environment. By being an engineer, you have the power to design, build, and maintain engines. Due to the increase use of oil, gas, and fossil fuels we are polluting our air and environment. I believe we must sustain our environment by using solar panels on our homes or energy that does not give off any bad chemicals into the atmosphere, finding people who are willingly able to use engineering to solve our crisis, and the time to help sustain our community to focus on our environment.

To make solar energy economical it’s very important that the people who buy it, play a huge role in considering the cost. Solar panels are a major investment which means they aren’t cheap, but there are also ways to lower the cost and maybe even free. Federal tax credits, state and local government, and energies to try to make it more affordable. The Solar panels also don’t work 24 hours a day. During cloudy days, the panels won’t be able to absorb the radiation and at night it won’t produce electricity. Creating the solar panels will cause pollution, but not as much as oil, coal, or any other type of energy that is bad for the environment. Finding people who actually want to help sustain our environment is also an issue. Now a days not there are not many people who are willingly able to spend time going outside to create a stop to global warming. Engineers create and solve problems, but they also receive stress, higher cost for college, and competitive atmosphere. It’s hard for them to work with people when they all want to be in a high position. Not many get into engineering due to the education and workforce. Being informed about the environment can create a huge difference, but my guess is that not many people are informed or some people have different ways of thinking. People need to focus more on what’s happening/ will affect us all not make war, stay in celebrities lives, nor cause unequal right. If we all were on the same page we could help this
