Children are not labors Children are one of the most beautiful gifts one can get. However, especially in developing countries, many kids are being used as workers. Many different organizations are fighting for the rights of children. International Labor Organization (ILO) being one of the major ones. While many families and individuals feel blessed and joyful to have kids around them, other individuals treat children inhumanly. According to the research of ILO, the number of global child labor have declined from 246 million to 168 million. Nevertheless, there are still 168 million child labors in the world and it is not going to end anytime soon. Poverty, lack of education and social development, and to fulfil some people’s greed, children are being exploited emotionally and physically. This photograph by Ebrahim Haidari of Tania, a 15 years old girl from Bangladesh attempts to shed light on the heartless and inhuman abuse endured by child labors using emotion, tonal contrast and innocent portrayal of a child’s face.

The most appealing things about children are innocence, playfulness, smile, their honesty on loving others and being loved. We can see she is wearing hijab and all her face is covered besides her eyes. We can see from her eyes that she is seeking for love, security, and desire of spending colorful childhood. The secondary focus of the picture is her hands. Children have soft hands and do wear clean clothes, but they are so innocent that they are not afraid to make their hands dirty and muddy. Tania’s clothes are not clean, and her hands are not soft either but it’s not from playing in dirt or mud; it is because of restless hours she has spent on
