In recent years there seems to be a case building to support the early mentioned suspect by the name of Aaron Kosminski by using DNA. In Polly Dunbar news article she details how recent DNA evidence might help finally uncover the century old murder case. A man named Russell Edwards purchased a shawl believed to have belong to Catherine Eddowes and present on the night of her murder. Mr. Edwards hired Dr. Jari Louhelainen to test the fabric that had remnants of what might possibly be both blood and semen. DNA samples were then collected from living descendants of both Eddowes and Kosminski. During this same time frame Aaron Kosminski profession is listed as a hairdresser, perhaps he murder his victims with a blade he used at his place of employment. Could this provide the opportunity to hide evidence from immediate family and friends? Some believed that ‘The Ripper,’ was a doctor or butcher, perhaps Kosminski profession allowed him to fall out detection with possible witnesses. It’s important to understand that several of the police investigators working during the ‘Whitechaple Murders,’ express their suspicions that Aaron Kosminski was a prime suspect in their case. They even disclose in their reports how they kept surveillance of Aaron while he was staying with one of his brothers. Eventually it’s reported that he becomes so insane he is admitted to an Asylum in the suburbs of London and lives there until his death.
