Thomas Edison I picked Thomas Edison to do my academic report on. One of my biggest reasons I picked Thomas Edison is that he has so much motivation, compassion, and Thomas Edison was very intelligent. Thomas Edison always tried to be successful and if wasn’t he tried until he was. Thomas Edison was the type of person that never gave up and that is why I choose him to do my academic report about.

1854. Edison often sold vegetables, newspapers, and candy on trains running from Port Huron to Detroit. In 1870 Thomas Edison became a full time inventor when he moved to New Jersey and used all his time and money on his invention. During this time he invented many stock market machines. In 1874 he invented the telegraph system that could send 4 telegraphs at once. In 1875 he invented the first copy machines. Thomas Edison liked to call the copy machine an electric pen.

In 1877 Thomas Edison invented the Carbon Transmitter which helped make the telephone work much better. It also led to his most famous invention. He invented the carbon lamp which didn’t need oil or fire in 1879. A very big accomplishment was the phonograph in 1877 which played music but it was very expensive which he latter made it more affordable.
