After viewing the biography of Anne Frank as well as reading the play of Anne Frank's diary, I believe my opinion and the evidence provided clearly states that movie was powerful, enough to say that the play didn't provide enough detail. I believe that the movie was very powerful, but lacked the information needed to understand what was going on. The play provided this information as well as Anne's thoughts and scripts in her diary, but excluded the severeness of the situation and also failed to provide enough detail onto what was going on outside of the Secret Annex. When looking at both the film and the playwright, you can see that there are major differences as wells as similarities.
In her diary, she concedes that she is inquisitive and talkative and comments about the other people who share the attic. Second, Ann was artistic because she kept several diaries during her stay in the Secret Annex. In them she described life in the Annex, her dreams, and her fears. She didn’t take the Annex like a prison she took it like an obstacle that she would escape over time. Third she is a rebel and spoiled by her father because, One person who has big arguments with Anne was her mother, Mrs. Frank.
In the movie Anne feels like she has to be with Peter more often. She feels safer with Peter in the movie. In conclusion, there are different versions of the Diary of Anne Frank, like plays and movies, and they are not all the same. The different versions, although, also have many similarities.
In those 2 years Anne had disagreements with her family, met her love Peter Van Dann, she hated Mr and Mrs Van Daan, and had to cut their food supplies little by little so they were always hungry. There are many people that agree with me for example, Dana Sachs but their are people like Francine Prose that don't agree with me. Francine Prose is an American Novelists, and a critic. She loves to read The Diary Of Anne Frank especially “As a little girl she read it multiple times”.
One of the main ideas that develops throughout the diary is the annexe-related conflicts and what they involve. In 1942 the annexe-related problems are mostly how hard it is for Anne to remain being quiet when someone is downstairs and some related problems. This idea is first mentioned and brought up in the September 29th entry where she states “You can imagine what a trial that was for Miss Quack Quack”. This is also brought up in the October 20th entry when she tells that the Mr.Koophuis and Elli came but they weren’t told so they had to go into an emergency situation where they remained quiet for at least an hour due to the thought of being discovered. The final entry that mentions this in 1942 is the November 28th entry where they have
One time she even spent a night with them at Anne’s request. Her task wasn’t easy
In “The Diary of Anne Frank” the setting takes place in the 1940’s in Amsterdam, Netherlands in a secret annex. The plot of the true story is that a 13 year old girl and her family have to hide from the German soldiers because they were hunting all Jewish people to capture and send them to concentration camps. After 2 years of hiding they were eventually caught be the Green Police and were taken to concentration camps. The main characters are Anne Frank, Mr. Frank, Peter Van Daan, and Mr. Dussel. The mood of the story is depressing and frightful for their experience throughout the story.
The Diary Of Anne Frank, Acts 1 and 2 are about a young Jewish girl named Anne Frank, living during World War II. While Anne Frank was in hiding from the Nazis in the Netherlands, she wrote in her diary, she called "Kitty". This diary soon became what is known as "The Diary Of Anne Frank". In this drama, we see Anne Frank displaying many emotions/actions similar to teens today. Just like how Anne Frank felt like she was being treated like a child and nothing more.
The grueling experience she was forced to undergo changed Anne’s personality from a energetic and silly schoolgirl to an insightful and sophisticated adolescent. Before the Secret
The memoir, “The Diary of a Young Girl” by Anne Frank, and the play, “The Diary of Anne Frank”, contain many differences. While both pieces of literature are about Anne Frank and her time in the Annex, the major differences include how the play gives prologue-like information, how the play exaggerates the words and actions of the people in it, and how the diary gives a more personal, intimate perspective on events. First of all, one of the main differences in the play and the memoir is how the play ends. Near the end of the play, Anne gives a monologue to the audience. The play reads, “Anne’s voice:
In this paragraph the reader will know that Anne frank and her family had a conflict, They can’t leave their home and also they don’t want to the star of David because people will spit on them. In the Story of the diary of Anne Frank it said “I must be out of here and downstairs in the office before workmen get here.” (page 706) This shows that they were escaping and they didn’t want to get caught. Also in page 709 peter was saying to Anne , “You can’t throw…?
In the play when Anne receives a terrible nightmare and Mr Frank comes
For example, a man that was known for his horrendous doings and unforgivable by many, Hitler, didn't have the black corruption, used in the WWII, filling up his whole heart. For example, Hitler’s full on intentions weren’t to kill off all the Jews, but to deport them, or rid them of the state he lived in. This evidence shows that Hitler didn't want to exterminate all the Jews, giving insight that Hitler still had some humanity or good in him. To conclude, Anne Frank’s inspirational quote left many people pondering on its meaning, and in my opinion, I believe it one hundred percent accurate. With the people hiding in the Annex changing drastically from “bad” to “good”.
This 330-page book describes the life of Anne Frank during her hiding. The setting of the book was during world war one. Themes of identity and isolation are present in the book. In the beginning Anne’s diary talks about her life has a 13 year old teenager.
Another similarity about the play is that Anne often talks about after the war, she also discusses
