In the non-fiction story “The Devil In The White City,” Erik Larson conveys how H.H. Holmes, a serial killer in the late 1800s, used his attractiveness to lure unsuspecting women to trust him, with his ultimate goal of murdering them.
Amsterdam in World War II was horrible for jews,because during February 22,1941 jews were getting arrested by the Germans,but all together they deported the seven hundred jews to Buchenwald concentration camp. And then some of the jews were deported from Buchenwald to Mauthausen camp and by then most of those jews were killed their. Anne Frank was a German jewish tennager who was forced to go to hiding during the Holocaust. She was born June 12,1920, Anne and her family, along with four others spent over two years during World War II, hiding in an annex full of rooms above her father’s office in Amsterdam. Anne Frank later on in life died in March 12,1945 in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in Germany.
Anne Frank was a young Jewish girl living in Amsterdam during the occupation by the Nazis. She was forced to go into hiding above her father's work for two years to avoid prison. During her time in hiding, she kept a diary and wrote about her experience. Frank writes about her loving and compassionate family and also mentions how she has built new relationships with the other families in the house. In her diaries, Frank frequently emphasizes the value of family, emphasizing how her trials were made easier by the presence of those she loved who understood what she was going through.

Annelies Marie Frank “Anne Frank” was born on June 12, 1929 in Frankfurt Germany to Otto and Edith Frank and younger sister to Margot Frank. Her family minus her had fled to Amsterdam in the Netherlands in 1933. She was the last one to fled there a year later in February 1934, she lived with her grandparents in Aachen for that year her family fled. The half of July Anne and her family went into hiding into a secret attic apartment.

In "Human Freedom and the Self", Roderick Chisholm has taken a libertarian approach on the issue of free will and determinism. The book Anne Frank: The Diary of A Young Girl teaches readers about the transformation of a young girl during WWII. She matures greatly throughout her diary. She also develops a genuine relationship with another Jew hiding with her, Peter. Through the despair and hopeless times in the Annex, Anne finds a way to discover things about others and even herself that she never knew before. Anne is hiding in the Annex along with The Van Daans and her family.
There was war going on at this time and soldiers were out, the Frank family didn’t want to get caught so they hide in a house a little bit out of town. Anne wrote a diary every day about what happened during the Secret Annex and her father found it later and published it which is now called “The Diary Of Anne Frank”. The rule is all Jews were suppose to be put in a camp because Hitler didn’t like the Jews. So the Frank family had to hide from the soldiers and also Hitler.
Anne Frank’s Character Development Throughout the War Throughout World War II Anne Frank was kept hidden away in a 500 square foot building they came to call the Secret Annexe. Anne Frank, her family, and the Van Daans endured difficult times of hunger, thirst, and lack of privacy cornered by walls for over two years. Anne confided her observations and feelings of the hard times within her diary she named Kitty. By writing in her diary both before and after the war, one could visibly notice how Anne went into the Annexe as a juvenile and came out as a young adult.

The Diary of a Young Girl depicts a worldview through the eyes of a thirteen-year-old Anne Frank hiding in her father’s company’s attic. She used a diary to record her experiences, and through it, actualise on how she had grown up and changed through the years in hiding. Throughout the course of the book, we see how she has changed both physically and mentally. Her writings give us a chance to see the war through a 13 years old Jewish girl’s eye and it can be more shocking than any normal person’s experience.
