Attitude Towards Writing
Writing is not easy, I believe that it is a process, it’s a method of communication that requires adjustment and assessment. My attitude towards writing can be described by the words of Samuel Beckett, “Try again. Fail again. Fail better.” I agree with Becketts statement as many of my experiences with writing have required me to try again, rather it be when trying to find a reliable resource to back up my point, or reworking my paper after receiving feedback. I see writing as a form of communication, thus sometimes what you are trying to communicate to your audience does not come across correctly and so in a sense you have failed, though this “failure” isn’t quite what it seems but rather an opportunity to adjust and try again. Writing is a process of failing until one fails so little that they succeed.

Due to the impact that writing has in the world, I foresee it playing a part in my life as I go on to pursue my future career. I plan to work in the health care sector, seeking to find ways to better communicate health access with underserved populations. As a business major, I have come to see how important communication and the way that people take in information is. The latter can influence one’s emotions, actions, or even their willingness to pursue something. Thus, I see writing as an important tool that I would use in my work to relay information and make rational points for my audience. Overall, I believe that writing will play a significant role in my future career, even though it may not impact it on the day-to-day there will still be a need for writing in my future. For instance, if I were to have to present information in a presentation or make a written record about different populations and what affects their access to care, I would use writing to communicate those
