Advertisments We all love things that are friends buy, but why do we buy things that our friend have even though you don’t like the product. What kind of people could do this to you? Advertisers. Advertisers are targeting kids to like their product and want them to have more and more even though kids might not like it. How might this be happening? Advertisers are targeting kids which leads them to make poor choices. People think that need to have what other people or their friends bought so maybe they can fit in and be cool like other kids or teens. For example nearly a third of those surveyed (32%) admitted to feeling pressure to buy certain products such as clothes and CDs because their friends have them said The Center for a New American Dream. So they spend their money on stuff they don’t need or want and just want to fit in with other teens or kids. This could kill kids and a big chunk of kids nag their parents that they want junk food products. Think of Mcdonalds, It they used to have Ronald Mcdonalds, He gets kids to buy their food even though its just a statue and don’t see the real Ronald Mcdonald and the kids just only eat the food.
