Being an African American male education was always something talked about. Education was always told that it was a way to make something of yourself. But as times past I encounter a variety of people from all different background from myself but trying to achieve the same goal as myself. So, it was easily to say that when given a chance to do research of a topic of my choice the study of economic background and how it affects African American males was interesting and effective at the most. The first experiment that supported this theory was an experiment that illustrates the study of the impact on African American males and their living conditions and to why they are not pursuing higher education. This was experiment included nine black males between the ages of 19-22 years of age, three male prisoners in the Phoenix, Arizona area; three graduating seniors in the Phoenix area; and three military enlistees stationed at Ft. Sam Houston, TX. Although having different situations going on, they all share that they have no college experience. The first limitation of this experiment is that the experiment did not sure enough test subjects for the experiment. Using more participants for the experiment would have gave a chance for a different outcome in results and more data could have been used.
