When I was in High school, I discover that schools spend too much quality time on standardized test also known as Taks Test. In consummating this, they take up more time preparing for the test than teaching students to learn. Standardized test are very common throughout the United States. They are used to measure students’ academic performances in school. The tests changes from State to State in all grade levels.
However, these tests are considered to be biased around all grade level students, these tests are debatable issue, because some people feel the test do not show the students’ intelligence. I am one of the people. What the test may cover may not be what the students have learned in class. I really do not agree to that, unfortunately these tests do not prove how smart a person is. Out of four tests I failed one, does that mean am not smart? No, but also I keep trying to pass the last one so I could also have my diploma and feel among my mate that have one too. The point schools failed to realize how important the students’ are than the tests.
Additional, Testing takes up too much time and keeps teachers from doing interesting things in class. Standardized test have be identify to negatively impact school districts. Furthermore they are known to as an adequate way to measure student intelligence there are many limitation in these measures. Sadly every test only measures a slight amount of data, and this cannot decide what a student learned throughout the year. Nevertheless
