In this essay I will be comparing and contrasting All Summer In A Day and the veld. They are both set in the future. as in All Summer In A Day they live on venus And in the veldt it is at s point where technology is so advanced that they can go anywhere in just 1 room. Next is their death in both stories. In the veldt the parents are locked in the veldt with the lions and die to the lions or starvation. In All summer in a day they locked Margot in a closet and left her in there and presumably she died, And finally The side characters that were not touched upon as the main characters In the veldt the kids locked the parents in the nursery with lions and no food source with nothing to defend themselves. In all summer in a day, Margot got locked in a closet with no supplies therefore dying after a little bit. First, they are both set in the future. In the veldt, they bought a house that is packed full of technology for example the house will cook and prepare your food. In the veld, there is a nursery where it takes you anywhere but the parents have a rule they can't go to new york city one day the husband and wife go into the room while they're at school and there is the veld. So they brought a technician over and he said that he should shut down the nursery. so he decided to pack up and go camping and when he shut down the power the kids freaked out asking for 2 more minutes and his wife said give them 2 more minutes so he said fine while they pack and after he was done packing he went in to call the kids and then the kids shut the door and locked it then the lions killed
