As a soror, of Alpha Nu Multicultural Sorority Incorporated, I take pride in my ability to accomplish my responsibilities as a student, school employee, and community member. I am currently a self-empowered PhD student, and am nominating myself for the White Orchid scholarship. My funding resources are limited, as I currently hold a regulated assistantship with my department, and strongly believe that I would be an excellent candidate for this award.

I graduated from Washington State University, with my undergrad degree in 2016. While an undergraduate member of Alpha Nu, I was actively involved in various ways within our organization and community. I held multiple positions, including but not limited to: secretary, pledge educator, vice president, and president. Moreover, I was actively involved in our community through the College Assistance Migrant Program, the Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement program, MECHA, and the Washington Apple Education Foundation. Today, I work with minority and underserved populations, as my research intends to uncover new and improved approaches to progress their overall health and wellness. Furthermore, I do my best to remain actively involved within our active chapter. I offer my support, when I am available, as well as additionally offer assistance with their academic and personal long-term endeavors. This may range from attending community service events to helping complete graduate school applications.
