I wanted join Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. sense my sophomore year of college. I want to have the brotherhood to help me grow intellectually, socially and intellectually. All these things I want and support I have seen in various moment through my experience with the brother of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity,
So, when I did my research and saw that community service played a big part of the sorority; I knew that this would be the perfect sorority for me because I love giving back to my community and helping other people. What I hope to gain from membership is to grow more as a person. I am a shy person and I don’t talk a lot.
Reflecting on my reasoning on why I wanted to become a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated I knew that I had to speak on all of the women who have instilled some type of morals and values that A Delta woman holds. It was the way they walked, talked, and cared for me like their own and their ability to be selfless. Seeing the way these women have made others and myself feel was convincing enough for me to be sold on my decision to take this path. Sisterhood is key within the women of Delta Sigma Theta. I intentionally surround myself with women of good character.
I have never been one to slack off at anything I am involved with, whether it be school or extracurricular activities. Yet, Beta has increased my thirst for achievement by ten-fold. This club gave me a desire to continue to
As a soror, of Alpha Nu Multicultural Sorority Incorporated, I take pride in my ability to accomplish my responsibilities as a student, school employee, and community member. I am currently a self-empowered PhD student, and am nominating myself for the White Orchid scholarship. My funding resources are limited, as I currently hold a regulated assistantship with my department, and strongly believe that I would be an excellent candidate for this award. I graduated from Washington State University, with my undergrad degree in 2016. While an undergraduate member of Alpha Nu, I was actively involved in various ways within our organization and community.
When they see us doing positive things around them, they will also want to do positive things. If I were to be accepted as a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity; I am determined to rise and accept the challenge and pleasure of holding myself to the esteemed Alpha Phi Alpha standard with great pride and
Joining Alpha Sigma Tau has given me many strengths. My confidence was immediately boosted after my fear of not being good enough to join a sorority was conquered; this confidence boost soon flourished as I grew to know my new sisters. I have always struggled in making friends, and knowing that so many girls truly valued me as a person gave me the confidence that I had been lacking up until
By active community service, leadership roles, and hard work, I have learned the incredible importance of academic achievement, character, leadership, and service. Through these things, I have been substantially prepared by the Beta Club to serve others as I depart high school and
A small goal that I want to achieve in my senior year, is to expand the Beta Club within my cluster. Currently the Beta Club is only available to eighth-graders in my cluster’s middle school and throughout all grades in my high school. My goal is expand the Beta Club to be available to all middle school students from sixth-grade to eighth-grade, which will instill the values of Beta from an earlier age. Evenso, I want to go even farther than this and expand the Beta Club to all of my cluster elementary schools, and allow students as young as eight years old to be able to join an organization that has helped me become the person I am today. If this is accomplished, which I intend it to be, a student in my cluster could be in Beta Club from third-grade
Everyone who I have talking to seems to enjoy the fraternity and the people in it, which is something that I think would be a lot of fun and rewarding to be a part of. What can you bring to Alpha Kappa Psi? What do you expect from us?
I’ve been inducted in two different honors program at the college, “Transfer Honor” Program and “Honor Mathematical and Natural Science”. I’m a very socially active individual at school, you’ll find me at any given moment running around campus; helping out in any events from open house to peer mentoring for the honors programs to leading campus tours for prospective students. Additionally, I mentor students (outside of the honors) on research opportunities, medical
“Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave, I am the dream and the hope of the slave. I rise, I rise, I rise.,” to become a Delta Woman. When asked to express why I should be awarded the honor & pleasure of being apart this great sorority; I must admit I was a bit overwhelmed but also very humbled. However, I am reminded of the great women Delta Sigma Theta has helped mold some of the most influential women in the world. I want to be apart of the most illustrious sorority organization.
I am ready to board the ship, and set sail – pointing towards a bright future of being an ECU pirate. Being admitted into the Honors College at ECU would be the catalyst to a successful future. As a high school senior, I am considering many universities and believe that being apart of the ECU community would allow me to reach my full potential. Growing up I have always set high standards for myself academically and extracurricularly. I participate in many clubs at my school including BETA club and National Honor Society.
I want to go into the field of business and management in the future, I do not know what specifically I would like to do in that field but with being in DECA and in MIS at Pottstown High School I know I am completely interested in that field of work. I enjoy being actively involved in clubs like DECA and NHS because I compete with others to be the best academically. I know I can take on this opportunity and get my college credits done early.
Explain your interest in joining Phi Delta Epsilon-MA Alpha Chapter. * I want to join Phi Delta Epsilon because it would provide me the chance to build lifelong connections and gain networking opportunities. Most importantly, I see myself forming a bond with other members, studying and sharing memories of what it’s like to be a premedical student at UMass Boston. The ability to connect, strive for success and learning from others with the same goal to attend medical school is what I’m truly seeking as a hopeful applicant of PhiDE. Joining the fraternity is the beginning phase of my strenuous road to become a successful physician.
