As a Scholar at Alton College, I am applying for a Scholarship of Excellence for Maths. Already within my first few weeks of Alton College, I am seeing that it is, and is going to be, a perfect foundation for my development into future studies in not only Mathematics but also my other related subjects too (Physics and Economics).
By choosing Mathematics and Further Mathematics as two of my A Levels here at Alton I have already had a lot of experience with the Maths department and am sure that it will definitely facilitate me in my determination to continue Maths further into my career. However, to hopefully cement my chances in securing a place at a top university in the country or even possibly abroad I hope that my chance at a Mathematics Scholarship can help me there and with my other endeavours too.

Alton College in itself is fantastic, but I would love to be able to have the Mathematics Scholarship with me to help me definitely make the jump and reach my goal.
If I am able to attain such a high education position in the country it would be incredible if I were able to either partake in a PhD after my planned four-year course or to become a nuclear engineer around the world, hopefully aiming to help the global issue of powering the world through a safe and clean source. If I were given the help required in order to do so, a PhD would also suit this aim as nuclear research in areas such as fusion are in their prime and fields where breakthroughs could help the world in many
