Stock Market Crash 1929 (Black Tuesday)
Investors made 16,410,030 shares on New York Stock Exchange. Billions of dollars were lost wiping out thousands of investors US swept into Great Depression and half of America banks failed. 15 million people become unemployed in the country.

Bank Runs
During the depression a bank run is the sudden withdrawal of deposits from one bank. Soon people went to all banks to do these runs until their was no money left causing these bank to shut down.

Eleanor was an American politician who served as the longest first lady in America. She was highly respected across the nation and played many roles in politics. She was also viewed as one of the most self esteemed women in the world. Huey Long
Huey was the 40th governor of Louisiana and a populist who signed laws without them being discussed. Once he said he was running for President and after he was shot a month later. Many people did not like him.

Automobile
During the Great Depression manufacturers were able to design V-8, V-12, and V-16 engines and transmissions. The car industry made a rise with 3 automakers to produce cars to sell. The three manufacturers were GM, Ford, and Chrysler.

Fashion
The women clothing during this time had more of a female figure. The men had less bright color suits and had a drape cut. …show more content…

This brought entertainment also declaring Green Bay second year champs.Championships in this decade bounced back and forth from Detroit, Green Bay, Chicago, and New York.

Boxing
Boxers received low wages but had passion for the sport. Sixto Escobar became the first champion. This was the second most popular sport and attracted a lot of attention. Some of these boxers were effected in the depression as well and all their wealth eventually ran out too. Some of them even depended on fighting just so they can get by as well if they couldn’t find other side jobs.
