Date: 04.03.15 Practicing Out Math Analysis of Learning: Amelia, Erin, and Taz are gaining skill in one to one counting as we count the number of scoops it takes to fill the tube. They are also being exposed to simple math words like, full, half full, and empty as we measure where the sand is up to in the container. Lastly, they are given the opportunity to make comparisons between the tubes and ascertain which tube make the sand come out faster – the broken tube. Observation: Erin, Taz, and Amelia really enjoyed filling up the cardboard tube with Miss Jacqui. They counted how many scoops it took to fill the tube. Sometimes it took 15 scoops of sand other times it took 30 depending on how big the scoops were. Miss Jacqui would say
