Introduction: I chose to do a case analysis on the nonprofit organization, Wounded Warrior Project. My wife and I once were big donation supporters of the Wounded Warrior Project since I am a combat veteran and many of my peers who were severally injured rely on nonprofit organizations like Wounded Warriors. Unfortunately, in March of 2016 reports came out that the Wounded Warrior Project had been misrepresenting how the nonprofit’s funds and the donations were being spent. Even though the Wounded Warrior Project has made bold adjustments to the nonprofit organization, many supporters felt heartbroken from the deception and misuse of our donations.

The organization prides itself for working with and advocating for the rights and needs of disadvantaged people. The promotion of values for human dignity, justice, hope, compassion and community makes the organization a leader in social justice and protection of the rights of disadvantaged and vulnerable people (The Salvation Army USA, 2018).

Today, there are 21.8 million veterans in the United States, who dedicated years of hard work and commitment to our country. There are many different ways that someone could have been involved in fighting for our country. There are five different branches of the military.
I understand that not all brotherhoods are especially positive and have approbatory aims. For instance being part of a gang may mean you have a support system and are part of a brotherhood, but it does not mean you are bettering yourself. One other main reason why I have a desire to become a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity is because I want to have positive impact on the community around me, whether it be Temple University’s community or the general Philadelphia area. It would bring me great joy to be a part of an Alpha Phi Alpha project that would include reaching out to the youth of Philadelphia.
What are the issues your group is concerned with? Veterans of Foreign Wars is concerned in ensuring that veterans are respected for their service to the United States. That they receive entitlements and that they are recognized for the sacrifices they and their families make on behalf of the United States. The VFW has worked on a G.I. Bill for the 20th Century, they have also had a hand in the development of the national cemetery system. They have fought for compensation for veterans of the Vietnam War that were exposed to Agent Orange as well as for veterans that that were diagnosed with Gulf War Syndrome.

I guarantee you will discover that while public service improves the lives and the world around you, the greatest reward is the enrichment and new meaning it will bring to your own life.” This quote clearly explains what service truly means to people that care about others from their heart. National Honor Society is an organization which recognizes students’ achievements not just with exceeding grades, but with service, leadership, and character. Serving others is an important and valuable pillar of the National Honor Society.
What I see as the function of the National Honor Society is to encourage young adults like myself to participate more within their school and community. It allows students the ability to give and serve other people that have done so for them. This group will give many students an eye opening experience on volunteering for fellow citizens. If I were to be selected into the National Honor Society, I would contribute to the group by sharing ideas and giving useful feedback to the other students in the group. I would also provide personal experiences of certain voluntary services that I have completed, if needed.
I have frequently tried to impact the lives of others through service, and found that each attempt has also had a profound impact on my own life. This phenomenon is especially true about my Congressional internship with the Hon. Nancy Pelosi, Democratic Leader of the House of Representatives. Working for Leader Pelosi, I learned that service is about the people who are served, and not just about abstract ideas. I learned to serve others best, not by acting as their savior, but rather as their partner- a partner that empowers them to live better lives.

The All Stars Project-Chicago SWOT Analysis Through the All Stars Project, over 53, 820 inner-city youth are given opportunities to transform their lives through the power of performance. This nonprofit reaches some of our nation’s most marginalized youth in six different cities: New York, Bridgeport, Chicago, Dallas, and the San Francisco Bay Area. The All Stars Project of Chicago has many strengths, including its direct response to the surrounding community’s need, and its status as a privately funded nonprofit; which overshadow its weaknesses of having a small staff and office space.
