Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) is an extremist rebel group, which tends to overthrow Iraq and Syria government control, seize their legitimate authority and establish the Islamic Caliphate in the Middle East. The United States and the regional states are concerned about the events in Iraq and Syria. The tensions in Iraq are different than in Syria due to the legitimate authority of the Iraq government. The resistance of ISIL is an essential tension to reach desired environment, but simultaneously the support from Iran to Iraq government should be taken into account as a future threat to the United States national objectives. The United States lead coalition could be understood as a crusade against Islam, and this would further escalate the conflict in the operational environment. The United States cannot and should not lead the effort to defeat ISIL on its own. There are more than enough capable military powers in the region so the coalition should be led by Middle Eastern allies. The war against ISIL will never be won unless anchor states in the Middle East step up their Military efforts and take more responsibility for the security and stability of their region. The United States should direct its support to the trusted governments instead of anonymous combatant rebels on ground. The Arab lead coalition should seek to eliminate ISIL legitimacy and enables stable and legitimate Iraq and Syria governments, capable of providing internal security, external protection of its borders, and access to critical resources, which ultimately fosters long-term stability in the …show more content…

There are different ways in finding the terrorist activities. The key ways proved to be efficient are by either human intelligence (HUMINT) or by signal intelligence (SIGINT). The information gathered by the human network proves to be the most beneficial one. But it takes determination and time to break up the human network of terrorists by recruiting one or more of the terrorists who are already in the terrorist groups. This period of establishment is the important period for the intelligence to identify, arrest, and uncover the plan of their action.
