Robber Baron's are the powerhouse of businesses in the United States. Were the big businesses and their owners captain of industry or robber baron, they were robber baron, more powerful and wealthy. The owners such as J.P. Morgan, Cornelius Vanderbilt, Rockefeller and more were robber baron. J.P. Became the first billionaire of the businesses. J.P. Morgan's US steel was the first billion dollar company in the world with an authorized capitalization of 1.2 billion dollars.
In the novel The Wednesday Wars by Gary D. Schmidt the main character, Holling Hoodhood is born 1954 while at the same time as Mickey Mantle the baseball legend was starting his whole career. Mickey Mantle was born in 1931 and at a young age he started playing baseball. Like Mickey Mantle, Holling had a lot to look forward to and a great life ahead. Mickey was taught new things at an early age like switch hitting and Holling was already discovering how good of an architect he would make.
In Clive Barker’s The Thief of Always, Hood, the antagonist, creates 4 servants to help him on his path to evil. 3 of those characters are very similar to Hood and each other and those are the points that will be highlighted in this essay. Hood put aspects of himself in Jive, Carna, Marr, and Rictus but that what he put into the first three are the most important. Carna and Hood seem very similar in the way that they are both very harsh.

When you think of Vikings you think of the blood thirsty pillages who plundered villages and killed many innocents. But the info presented shows that the Vikings were like every other colony back then trying to adapt to the changing world and survive in it. For example document seven says that the Vikings could not keep up with the growing population. This caused food shortages to be common problem which led into Viking raids. This would allow them to keep up with the demand for food.
Holling Hoodhood in the beginning starts as a regular kid entering the seventh grade with a teacher that he think hates his guts. Holling is a presbyterian so he stays with Mrs. Baker for a while since he doesn’t go to the church's other kids go to and for this reason Mrs. Baker “Hated” him. Soon you start seeing Holling’s family neglect him and it shows how Holling has to take care of himself. Also you see Holling’s love of books when he talks about the books he reads. You then start seeing Hollings traits of paranoia about Mrs. Baker and her assassination plot.

As a teacher of children who come from wealthy families and are likely to be future patricians, he is well aware of the impact they may have on the world in their adulthood. However, Hundert's ideas and beliefs of leaving an impact on his students consume his life leaving him unable to grasp the present and the harsh reality until late in his life. Hundert is stuck on the idea of making an impact on history and the minds of his students, even in the very beginning of his career, as shown with his interaction with Senator Bell, A student named Sedgewick's father. On June 8th 793ce foreign ships brought an unexpected surprise to the Lindisfarne monastery situated off the coast of England; the Northmen had arrived. This attack marked the beginning of the Viking Age, an era of raids that shook the western world until its end at the battle of Hastings in 1066. According to those on the receiving end of the raids these Northmen arrived and promptly the “heathen miserably destroyed God 's church by rapine and slaughter .” It is important to note that the Vikings had an oral tradition and no known sources exist depicting events from their perspective. There exists a less known side of the Viking Age and its society, one comprised of such aspects as the farmer, trader, craftsmen, and explorer.
Hoodwinked itself means deceive or trick. The short story, “Hoodwinked” by Cory Edwards, shows that none of the characters are exactly what they seem, and each has their own deep secrets and wily deceptions. The police officers soon uncover that seemingly innocent Red is worldly wise; that the big, bad Wolf has been terribly misunderstood; that Granny has a secret life no one could have thought of. To start with, Hoodwinked begins at the end of the tale and winds its way back.
What makes and decides a good villain? Perhaps it is brutality, power, evil, or maybe even a lack of evil. Some great villains are colorful and even funny. However, I think that the best villains are heroes in their own eyes and present us with morally grey dilemmas that make us think. Jason Todd, aka Red Hood, is just such a villain.

This Anglo-Saxon tale gives insight into the values and beliefs of the people from whom the story originated. Their war-centered ideology and views on loyalty and courage were the principles that the Anglo-Saxon culture was founded upon. While warfare was a focal point in their lifestyle, it was far from a savage, barbaric state of fighting. Honor and prestige were bestowed upon those who died during battle and selflessness for fellow warriors was a fundamental belief.
