The article “young kids’ old bodies” provides a great idea about obesity or over weight. I learned how gaining weight can brings a massive health problem on kids. Obese children are at high risk of heart disease, diabetes, stroke and atherosclerosis. Even if they are not matured yet their body makes them to look like old and this cause some social influences on them.
The Author identifies the story of three kids in the article which captures parents’ attention and it might be a wakeup call for some permissive parents. The story of all kids listed in the article shows us how obesity leads children to health problems and how their condition put in difficult situations. Obviously, obesity in children or grownups has biological, cognitive, psychological, physical and social influences.

The graph illustrates 32% are overweight or obese and 17% are obese. In addition to that it shows the obesity percentage in boys and girls. The graph describes the higher and lower percent in race regarding to boys and girls. Hispanic boys have the higher percent of obesity than Black and White. And Black and White boys have a 1% difference. When we take a look the girls obesity percentage the highest rate would be Black girls and the Hispanic girl are 17% and White girls 15%. I would just say, even if it is the fact that all parents should watch over their kids’ meal for the sake of health, it really depends on their culture. Every culture has different type of food. As it mentioned in the article for example Hispanic people eat tortillas and some other food with high calories so that might have impact on kids’
