Chapter 1 and 2 1. At this point of the novel, I feel a little curious as to where the story is going to go. I must say, I am a little confused on how the animals are planning on going though with their plans. 2. I can think of ways I have felt like these animals do in the story.
This passage examined emanates from Squealer’s verbalization in which you visually perceive him establish his astuteness over all the animals. Along with manipulation, he confounds his peers' through intricate words. When the animals repine to Squealer, he simply digresses or explicates the matter in a way that others wouldn’t understand. Squealer utilizes the word “Comrades,” to engender ascendancy, and acquire his fellow animals attention when he commenced distributing his message. The authoritative approach and advanced lexicon amalgamate to engender a theme of ethos.
Animal Farm was written by George Orwell, who wrote the book with rhetorical components. Two of the rhetorical components used in the novella were symbolism and satire. Orwell used symbolism when he named the characters. One example was the pigs because they are usually thought of as disgusting and dirty. Another example used was the sheep because they are thought of as dumb and fearful.
Greed is a selfish want for something, sometimes it has to deal with wealth, power, or food. Yolanda shows greed because she embezzled money from Selena’s boutique. Embezzlement is theft or mishandling of someone's money that a person places their trust in a certain person. She stole from Selena’s boutique because she needed money to pay back her nursing school loan debt. This was not the first time this had happened.
Old major requests other animals in the farm to meet in the barn after Mr.Jones get drunk and falls asleep. Major gives a speech about how evil the humans are and how they need to rebel against Man. Major also gives some warning to the animals about how the men harm their farm and order them to do a lot of work. After Major gives his elaborates in his speech, he goes on talking about his dream in which he sees no humans on the earth. Major then teaches the animals a song called “Beasts of England”, the animals sang it again and again until they awaken Mr. Jones.
In Animal Farm, George Orwell warns how power will often lead to corruption. Napoleon was placed in a position of power after Major died, and he slowly starts to lavish in his power and become addicted to the lush life of a dictator. When Napoleon first becomes a leader, he expresses how everyone will work equally, but as his reign goes on, he shortens the work hours. At the very end of the novel, the observing animals even start to see that pig and man had become the same. The irony present in the above example, illuminates how regardless of how much a ruler promises to maintain equality and fairness, the position of power that they hold, will corrupt them.
The characters I chose are the sheeps and in this first paragraph I will demonstrate you how they led Animalism to success. In George Orwell book, the sheeps contributed a lot to the success of the farm by their words and by theirs actions. This group of animal was not the cleverest on the farm and it reflects their actions. What ever the leader of the farm would say, they will repeat. Even not knowing the meaning of their words, they will spread the message (P.13 and P.51, the sheeps keep saying FOUR LEGS GOOD, TWO LEGS BAD or FOUR LEGS GOOD, TWO LEGS BETTER).
The quote “Under capitalism, man exploits man. Under communism, it’s just the opposite.” by John Kenneth Galbraith explains how communism and capitalism are not so different. In Animal Farm the animals overthrow Mr. Jones who represents capitalism because he gives the animals bare minimum for all the produce they give him. All he does is take and take and never gives the animals anything.
Followers do not speak up against the leaders because they do not care or afraid or being lied to. For example, back in my home country the president Saddam Hussein was a leader of country that the people that lived there could not speak up for their rights. Nor they could do anything because they are afraid of what is going to happen to them if they speak up. So in the book happened the same thing the Pigs took control Napoleon took control over all and the the other animals followed.
All people can name one point in history where the fight for equality and freedom did not turn out in favor of the struggling people. In Animal Farm written by George Orwell, the farm animals portrayed are much like those who confront unjust powers. However, the animals on this farm are unaware of new, devious powers, namely Napoleon the pig. He strives for control after having driven out the humans who had held them as slaves long before. The one desire he indulges in is dominance over his peers and uses all means possible to obtain this goal.
In Animal Farm, a fairy story by George Orwell, farm animals overthrow the tyranny that is human rule and replace it with a tyranny of their own. The working animals live in terrible conditions, while the pigs do none and live in far better conditions than the rest of the animals. The pigs make sure that all of the animals follow what they say, all the time. They are able to manipulate the farm animals in a way that lets them have total control. The farm animals unknowingly cause themselves anguish by being ignorant of their leader’s injustice towards them.
As Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.” In a society, it is not only the citizen’s right, but it is their responsibility to stand up for what is right or to point out flaws in their society. In Animal Farm, when the animals were under the rule of the pigs, they underestimated themselves and ended up in a defenseless position very eerily similar to their position in Jones’s day because of their lack of faith in themselves. It was their responsibility as citizens to stand up to injustice, but because of their lack of faith in themselves, injustice overtook the farm. Expression is a powerful part of one’s responsibility to their society and can make great political impact.
The society in the Animal Farm is one that manipulates and controls those with no power. This society is based upon the society from the Russian Revolution which shows how a community can be manipulated. By manipulating the animals Napoleon felt he could benefit himself more than the farm. George Orwell addresses how the animals are manipulated through fear and how they are afraid to question Napoleon to shift power.
George Orwell‘s animal Farm novel he argues that political revolutions are doomed to fail because leaders that have power that goes to their head in other words dictator in the novel animal farm The rebellion results in a dictatorship because the pigs have the power to get to the animals house because they’re smarter therefore they take advantage of the lesser which is the other animals I feel as if it’s citizens must be always equal no one be dictator they should always be equal teach the lesser so they can all be on the same level. I say this because in a chapter like chapter 3 page 35 to 36 it talks about the milk and the Apple and it states it is for you you’re say that we drink that milk and eat those apples this relates to the animal
Freedom! We very much like the lives we live now. We have food! We are free!
