The Holocaust is the mass murder of Jews under the German Nazi regime during the period 1941–45. More than 6 million European Jews, as well as members of other persecuted groups, such as gypsies and homosexuals, were murdered. Anne Frank was a young girl who had to live in a secret annex with her family starting July 6Th. The Van Pels family joins them a week later. The two families already know each other: Otto Frank and Hermann Van Pels are business partners.

Because of the oppression of the Jews, Anne and her family are forced to go into hiding. Anne, her mom Edith, her dad Otto, her sister Margot, Mr. and Mrs. Van Daan, Peter Van Daan, and Mr. Dussel.
The play version of The Diary of Anne Frank tells the story of Anne and her family trying to survive the Holocaust. In this play Anne and the others are locked in an attic so the Nazis will not find them. In a similar book Night written by Elie Wiesel tells us about how he survived the concentration camp during the Holocaust. In Night Elie and his father are tortured, beaten, and starved by the Nazis but Elie miraculously survived. Although Elie and Anne have different views on religion, both have are sent to concentration camps and have a close relationship with his father.
In the year 1933, the persecution of Jews and their families due to the holocaust had begun. Hitler had come to power, and made Nazi Germany believe the Jews were the problem. The Jewish families were forced into hiding or else they would be taken away to concentration camps or killed. One of the families in 1945, being persecuted were the Franks. Anne Frank was 13 when they moved into the hidden annex above Mr. Kralers office building.
Dealing With Conflict and Hard Times When it comes to dealing with tough times such as going to internment camps or hiding from Nazi soldiers so that they aren’t taken to centration camps, there are three important questions that come into play; What motivates people to move through hard times and moments? , What can people do to help others going through tough problems?, and Who can people go to to help them through tough times or conflict? I think that people can best respond to conflict by staying strong through courageousness and always having people in their life to talk to.

She was given the diary as a present from her parents in 1942, and named it Kitty. Through her diary writing, Anne Frank was in many ways her own counsellor in a time of great suffering and tribulation. Frank wrote about experiences she faced, which she linked it back to human rights. The website, Anne Frank and her diary, explain that Anne wrote and analyzed unfair circumstances, “She writes that when a Jew does something to someone, it immediately reflects on all Jew, while this does not apply to Christians.” Anne was able to draw many conclusions from different inhumane actions. This made people reflect on the inhumanity during Anne’s time, and come understand the message of human rights. Otto Frank also talks about Anne’s desires with the diary.
