People go through the highs and lows of life hoping to live a long life. Anne Frank was not able to live a long life because of one man's goal to rid the world of Jews. This man was named Adolf Hitler. The book, The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank and the movie, Anne Frank The Whole Story show us the ways Hitler carried out his goal of exterminating the Jews and how it affected the Jews themselves. By reading The Diary of a Young Girl and watching the movie Anne Frank The Whole Story, college students can benefit greatly by learning how to treat people with respect, think with an open mind, respect other people's beliefs even if you do not agree with them, making sure history does not repeat itself, standing up for what is right when it is needed most, and knowing your history.
One must have a full understanding of what was going on during Anne Frank's life to fully grasp what is going on. Anne Frank: The Whole Story describes to us the events that took place in Anne Frank's diary during and after the diary ended. It is important to see the movie because it gives us an accurate depiction of what life was like in a concentration camp. In the third act of the movie approximately two hours and 22 minutes into the film we see Anne getting her hair cut and being stipped naked. It is a very powerful scene and speaks volumes to the types of behaviors us humans can do in our darkest hour (Dornhelm). At approximately two hours and 24 minutes into the film we see Anne and her sister Margot. Margot has died and Anne is caressing her face trying to wake her up.
