¨ Memory… is the diary that we all carry about us¨( Oscar Wilde). This quote resembles two girls who wrote a diary about their lives during the Holocaust and World War 2. Anne Frank wrote a diary about her life during World War 1 and Jeanne Wakatsuki wrote a diary about here life during World War 2. These girls had many similarities and differences on their lives and what struggles they had to face. To start with, Anne Frank was born June 12, 1929 as a Jew who lived during the Holocaust, a time where Hitler rose in power ordering to destroy every Jew. Anne went into hiding with her family with another family avoiding their death, leaving behind their house outside life and the people they knew(“ Anne Frank Biography¨). While Anne went into hiding she explained how hard it is to go into hiding and describes what she was doing(¨The Diary of Anne Frank Play- Frances G and Albert H¨). So every Japanese citizen were forced into camps to stay until the war was over. Instead of having to stay inside a building in hiding she stayed in a camp where she was able to roam in the camp eat. go school, and have fun. Also she wrote her experiences of her life in and how hard it was to stick to the environment , and after the camp and after the camp was closed. Her family had to leave their property and only could take items that were not in any way shape or form of communication(¨Farewell to Manzanar- Jeanne W. Houston and James D. Houston¨).
