This team expresses in this article that the Grand Jury located in Colorado made the executive decision to not take further action in this case due to the absence of evidence in the case. The murder of Jon Benét was brutal and unfair to not only the family but society. Church and Terry McCarthy to shed light on the standstill caused by feuds between Boulder Colorado’s district attorney and police. The district attorney, Alex Hunter, firmly believes that this case will unfold on its own time and that rushing the investigation will only result in answers that have already been discovered. Like many would argue, the police in Boulder, Colorado feel like Hunter is dragging his feet. Hunter has denied all allegations made by cops that slander his reasons as to why the case hasn’t been handled with much urgency. In response to the claims made by police, Hunter believes that the cops are attempting to shadow their lack of skill and turning it into accusations and insults. The police have taken much offense to this, resulting in a lack of communication with the district attorney. These feuds unfortunately halted the investigation process of the Ramsey case. It is understood that the grand jury found no suspect to blame for her murder, and even with countless DNA samples, not even one matched. Frustrations were raised in the public, for example, a former homicide detective ultimately dropped out of the case simply because he was a firm believer in the intruder theory. This article also highlights the focus on Ramsey’s parents, but shies away due to the multiple witnesses that have evidence of the Ramsey’s innocence. The article at hand is important when understanding and learning about the JonBenét Ramsey case due to the number of theories and information provided in this article. It describes the tragic fate JonBenét endured, provides information on the grand jury decision, multiple theories on how she died, and the parent’s involvement or lack thereof. With this information, the authors argue their point thoroughly to get all the known facts across. The tone of the text gives a sense of legitimacy.
