This got me thinking, how did the Nile River shape Ancient Egypt? There were three ways the Nile shaped Ancient Egypt. They were the seasons, the geography, and their civilization. The seasons in Egypt played an important role for crops. This is for the fact that if the Egyptians didn't have food, they would die.
The most significant factor that influenced the development of ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia was their geography, because their locations by large rivers led the civilizations to produce an abundance of food, leading to a population increase and for several cities to form which influenced the cultural, economic, and political influence of both civilizations. Ancient Egypt was a complex civilization because it included all the seven indicators. About 1000 years before Ancient egypt became a civilization people were hunters and gatherers, therefore they didn’t stay in one place for very long. Once they discovered the dirt near the nile was fertile they started to farm. After they discovered that you could farm and raise livestock they started to grow towns and cities. As the population went up Ancient Egypt began to become complex civilization.

Comparing and Contrasting Egypt and Mesopotamia Throughout the history of our great earth, the human race has evolved from nomadic hunters and gatherers into the civilized, advanced people we all are today. While studying the progression/evolution, we all came upon many places and peoples. The most important occurrence is the development of civilizations. The first civilizations were the Egyptians and Mesopotamians.
The Egyptians social structure was like a pyramid from highest to lowest. The levels of Egyptian social classes are from highest to lowest there are pharaohs ,nobles and priest,the professional educated,soldiers,skilled workers,store keepers, and at the bottom of them all are slaves and farmers. The pharaoh is the highest on the pyramid. “The egyptians believed gods gods controlled the universe.” They believed that pharaohs were gods and trusted them with many responsibilities.

Egypt is famous today for its great ancient monuments, such as the Pyramids and the Sphinx as well as other things.
Ancient Egypt was a complex civilization because it had all of the important indicators for a complex society. Indicators started with the hunting and gathering. Then they started settling on river valleys such as the Nile because it was fertile farming land. They begin to farm. This made the population go up because they were selling more goods.
Far back during 2686-2181 BC Egypt went from growing for the first time into a thriving civilization to nearly tearing out its foundation entirely. Differently ruled parts of the country with their own Kings and politics drove wedges into Egypt's core during this era, which was known as the Old Kingdom. The country was falling apart towards the end of this era, but Thebans in the South declared independence and put to use old parts of royal script and laws by using them to conquered neighboring rulers over a period of a hundred years. At the end of these hundred years they had successfully pulled together the country under one King by the name of Menhutohep II. The act of reunifying the country under one ruler was the first step towards the success of what became the Middle Kingdom.
Ancient Mesopotamia and Ancient Egypt were two early human civilizations that lived during the bronze age in harsh desert environments located not far from each other. Both civilizations were built around rivers that they depended on for survival. There is evidence that these rivers had great influence on both the societies politics and culture. Egypt was built around the very strong and reliable Nile River. Ancient Mesopotamia was established in the fertile crescent between the less reliable Tigris and Euphrates Rivers.
The Ancient Egyptians were one of the first Civilizations to form in the ancient world. These people dealt with each other in peace and war, birth, and death. The Egyptians have influenced us in many ways. The Egyptians have influenced us in our inventions, math, writing, medicine, religion, sports, and music. Ancient Egyptians were able to build massive movements, pyramids, and temples.
In 300 B.C. In Ancient Egypt there where Pharaohs, nobles, priests, officials, scribes, merchants, artisans, farmers, servants, and slaves. Each of them did certain jobs. Each of them were in a different social class and were treated differently.
In the timeline of ancient Egypt, it is understood that there are three periods of recorded history of ancient Egypt. These three are widely known as the old kingdom lasting for around 500 years (2700- 2200bc approx.), the middle kingdom which went for approximately 300 years (2100- 1800bc) and the new kingdom which lasted for about 490 years (1570-1080bc). Even though that there are three very significant periods, this report will mostly be focussing on the old kingdom and new kingdom. His old kingdom has had many different names but is most commonly known and referred to as the “golden age” or the “pyramid age” (Pharaonic Egypt by dr. Susan J. Herlin, 2003) as it was the time of when the very first pyramids were built.
