At the end of the story, Farah finally says the word “apple” outloud. n this part, Farah hasn’t said any word in English because she has no idea speak it. She has never said a single word in English before because she does not feel that confident speaking English. Farah really needs help with English. So to help her, the teacher and two of her classmates use the technique of pointing to make it easier for her to develop speaking English. She wants to expand on how to speak English because if she never practices or learns, Farah will not get any better. Lastly, this shows Farah is daring because not only is she is daring herself, but she is daring her country to know start speaking English and get better at it. I think that is important because it is daring and means a lot to a new girls who is just starting to learn English. I think that Farah is a character that can influence a lot of the readers who read this story. Since, a lot of people can relate to this book and it really touches your heart. I also think that Farah is born to be daring, strong, and courageous not the same as the other classmates of her’s. Lastly I think that after reading that story, I would like to have the courage and be daring to do that kind of stuff.
