My name is Cindy Martinez. I worked for three years as a Spanish interpreter/translator for a major school district. I have chosen to return to school to pursue a different career because of a lack of jobs/opportunity for growth in my current field. With this in mind, I decided to study Computer Science at the UoPeople. I believe Computer Science fits my personality and I have found there are many job opportunities for people in that field in my hometown as well as online. I hope to find online work in the field of computer science so I can travel the world while maintaining a job online.

I’m a little concerned about when I should take Discrete Mathematics & Calculus. Should I take one of them during term 4, before I start CS courses? I definitely want to finish all gen ed courses before I get to the higher level CS courses. Taking Gen Ed courses will help me refamiliarize myself with college courses and
