We know from the poem that these animals were once looked at as a beautiful, peaceful bird. Vultures and other animals within Eden didn’t bother one another. Vultures were also known as vegetarians and never ate flesh of another animal. Then the vulture’s temptation strikes, which is to eat meat.
Unfortunately, washing their hands before and after work with clean water were a very unusual thing to do. Thus, all the dirt, germ and sweat on their hands that they produced during the day would follow the meat packing process and became products for consumption. Unexpectedly, they would can or make sausage with any type of meat that that was spoiled. The author declared in the book, “Jonas had told them how the meat that was taken out of pickle would often be found sour, and how they would rub it up with soda to take away the smell...giving to any sort of meat, fresh or salted, whole or chopped, any color and any flavor and any odor they chose.” (The Jungle, Sinclair).

The texts “ Insect Farmers” by Washington Post and “ Eating Bugs” by Miguel Vilar and Laura Allen have both similarities and differences. First, both articles explain that bugs are healthy. For example, on page _22_ of “ Eating Bugs” the text states “Crickets and grasshoppers are loaded with carbohydrates... Termites, beetles, and earthworms are very high in protein”. Similarly, on paragraph 8 of “ Insect Farmers” it says “They pack a powerful protein-filled punch into a small, low-calorie package.
“First Day” by Jason Reynolds is an impressive and self-analyzing poem that captures the complex emotions and experiences of a student on the first day of school. The poem’s vivid imagery and relatable narrative make it a powerful exploration of the universal challenges and anxieties that come with new beginnings. One of the most striking rhetorical devices employed by Reynolds in this poem is the use of personification. The poet personifies the “first day” itself, introducing it with human qualities and emotions. For instance, the line “First day, you are a bully” immediately establishes the first day as an antagonistic force, a “bully” that the speaker must confront.
In William Golding’s Lord of The Flies, the question of moral and humaneness is very prominent. As the book advances, the boys start to kill one another and become more and more impulsive. The boys weren’t always this way, but when the reality that they weren’t going to get rescued set in, the need for survival kicked also in. “Something he had not known was there rose in him and compelled him to make the point, loudly and again” (Golding 37). In this quote, it is evitable that Ralph had an urge to partake in savagery, although it’s not in Ralph’s nature to partake in such things.
In the selecting of a topic for my rhetorical analysis, I was in search of something that I had little to no previous knowledge about and one that really intrigued me. One day during an english class, we were talking about different topics for our essay and my professor mentioned one about eating insects. This sounded very peculiar to me, enticing me to want to learn more about it. Also because it was a TedTalk and I had previous experiences in where I enjoyed watching them, it was the perfect choice. This is what led me to choose to write about Why not eat insects?

Every year tax paying Americans spend a good amount of the money they make on taxes, what some of us do not know, however, is where that money is going. A good amount of our money is going towards the death penalty or capital punishment. However, the death penalty is not doing us any good considering the amount of money is spent on it per year. The death penalty should be illegal in the United States because it is proving to be ineffective and is very expensive.
All the processes of carbohydrate, protein, neutral lipid, and fatty acid degradation all provide transition between the stages of putrefaction and decomposition. When carbohydrates being to deteriorate in the intestines the body is still experiencing putrefaction, but once the last fatty acids and complex proteins are being broken down the body is well into the stage of decomposition. There is no clear line between putrefaction and decomposition. The decomposition stage, the sixth stage, is a broad stage that encompasses everything from the first microorganisms breaking down sugars in the intestines to the last vulture picking any the final scraps of meat. Decomposition can be broken down into five individual sub-stages.
