In 1621 the Indians taught the pilgrims how to plant and grow crops so they wouldn’t starve. After the growing came the harvesting, it was a success. They had finally done it and would not starve through the winter. The feast or thanksgiving is all about how the pilgrims had their first successful corn harvest and had plenty of food to gather and share. Thanksgiving Day is an annual national holiday marked by religious observances and a traditional meal including turkey and is held in the U.S. on the fourth Thursday in November. I personally think it's neat how people celebrate Thanksgiving. Some people celebrate it the same, while others celebrate it differently. Many had to live with the pain and still wonder what other causes spurred the war. In truth, I believe the main causes of the war were imperialism, militarism, nationalism and alliances. Imperialism is said to be a system where a powerful nation rules and exploits one or more colonies.
