The value of education is indefinite. The thrill and passion for gaining knowledge is appetizing, but shouldn’t decrease motivation. It needs to be spread accurately to all individuals. The time for education to change in America is just as important; for “To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often” (Winston Churchill). Not minor changes but major changes, it won’t be as simple as rubbing two sticks together but it’s time for a new fuel, a light that shows how great our nation truly is. The American education system of giving and receiving systematic information to our students at schools and university’s is tainted and needs an update or a new approach because students often get left behind and feel mentally demotivated. It is important to give students the attention, support, and motivation they need to succeed and not fall behind. The American education system has teachers overwhelmed with students in classrooms, working diligently to make ends meet, rarely having enough time to focus on students who are struggling and in need of extra help. In Finland, they approach this differently, in: “Educating Americans for the 21st Century” LynNell Hancock wrote that “Many schools are small enough so that teachers know every student”(2). This vastly improved academics overall in over the past decade because teachers are trusted to do “whatever it takes”(2) to turn lives around and prepare their students for the real world.
