Head Start
Head Start is a free U.S. Federal Government program that is ran by the United States Department of Health and Human Services. The program is to help low-income children and their families. It is a great program for getting kids to be successful. Although Head Start is for low-income children only, all children should be allowed to go to Head Start. Head Start program would be good for all kids because it gives children an early start on their education, children would be able to socialize at a younger age, and most parents cannot afford childcare or an in-home babysitter.

In the article "Head Starters" the author stated, "One theory for Head Starters' initial superiority is that preschool socializes children to school behavior" (Glazer 1). Children needs to socialize to build social skills and communication skills, that would help them know how to interact with other children as well as adults. If children do not interact and socialize with other people, they would have trouble in the future because they would not know how to behave. So much is learned from interacting with others and could also lead to attachment issues. Socializing at an early age also helps with life skills. For example, most children that do not socialize at an early age, they would not be good at it in the future. Children that socialize at a younger age also learn confidence to be away from their father, mother, or any siblings that they may
