While the founding fathers managed to solve some of the most imposing issues of their time, there are still many issues that face this country that the founding fathers did not think were immediately important at the time or were not relevant to the time. An issue that perhaps isn’t as majorly discussed as it should be is education. The issue of education is something that can make or break a country, especially a democratic republic where the involvement of its citizens is so critical to how it operates. Much of the problems with immigration come down to lackluster enforcement of current laws surrounding illegal aliens and the difficulty it takes i order to become a citizen for an immigrant. The country sending the most problematic immigrants is Mexico. While Mexicans who go through the process of becoming legal are almost always welcome for their strong work ethic and ease of assimilation, the process is thought by many to be too difficult for those in dire need of a better home. Because of this illegal immigration has also become a problem. Despite the fact that many laws are already in place on how to deal with illegal immigration, many cities and states are beginning to ignore these laws leading to large influxes of illegal aliens. President Donald Trump used immigration as one of his campaign’s focal points. The governor of California, Jerry Brown, has recently announced that his state will be a sanctuary for illegals. The solution here is somewhat easier due to the fact that the laws dictating the handling of illegal immigrants are already in books, they just need to be enforced.
