On immigration in America, the main reason is given with discretion; that those who oppose making laws on immigration are letting those who have the intent to kill into our country. The United States has been “the land of the free, and the home of the brave” but only to those who are here for the stay entirely; society has been changed from the just being those who were already here and those who settled the land. Though, not all has changed for the better, terrorists and drug addicts also manage to come through the borders, boundaries, and security that we have set up to keep them all at bay; it is this persistence that keeps all American citizens on edge.
The American people have set up a security check on the borders to Mexico, Canada, and even the Florida coast towards Puerto Rico so that those who wish to waltz on into our country have to be thoroughly searched for permits, grants, and are even detained; the officers on the job are called the Border Patrol. The U.S Border Patrol has the job doing routine checks on and around the areas that border the united states. Trump feels as though the borders aren’t borders because they have no walls to stop foreigners from getting into the country; he also set a ban on Muslims from entering the country. He also has a strong belief that we should send millions of Mexicans back to Mexico; he isn’t one to show mercy on immigrants of any kind. Though the president of the United States, Barack Obama has a different view; he is letting illegal immigrants reform, allowing them to become citizens of the United States after 5 years of living in here, they also have to go through the background checks, and pay taxes. This cannot be a permanent solution to a permanent problem that has a multitude of temporary solutions; it is a bandage on a wound that is already
