There are many reasons as to why mass shootings are happening. I believe that there can not be a solution because there are many factors to as why these shootings are happening. Mental illness is not being treated as it should be, gun laws need to be tightened, and children are not understanding the meaning of consequences. For example the question may pop up of, how did an adult with autism be able to own and AR-15? He shouldn’t have and that’s where gun laws need to be more restricted. Although the problem with trying to restrict gun laws is that nobody is able to have a civil conversation about it, including our government. Many are handing them prescriptions and telling them to move on their way. Many are not being hospitalized or afraid to speak up to get help, and not sitting through the counseling. Mental illness is more of a problem than people think it is, and is not being handled properly. My last point is these days parents are trying to be their child’s best friend verses their parent. Which is why kids are not learning what consequences are. Parents are not punishing their child to understand what they did was wrong. Which in my opinion is what is causing these shootings. Many kids now and days are being bullied in some way shape or form and are depressed, suicidal, and so forth. They are not getting the help they need. They are struggling with a mental illness and something can happen that trigger them and then they act out. They act out but they don’t understand what a consequence is so they don’t care, they don’t think that you kill somoene and your going to jail, they don’t understand that you do something wrong and you suffer a
