Sexism in america is alive in well in many places. Even if we are a new age society we still have draconian practices that regard women in the workplace. To signify how deep spread it is you have to look at the top and work down. Out of most american CEOs only 4% of them are women. Women in positions of power are often called loud mouthed or jarring degrading their self esteem and position. Comprising their ability to work and causing them to lose their job. This causes a major gap in wage and job equality.
Women are less likely to be hired for a natural function they can 't control. This function is pregnancy something that can put a women out of work for six to twelve weeks.Not hiring a women for this express reason is unreasonable it is

This goes to show that yes men are the more likely hire on. This is just sad america is supposed to be the leader in change and acceptance but we still discriminate on sex. There needs to be a radical change in the way america carries itself in the face of the world. It is a hive of sexist backwards thinking that shames all. If we are to be the beacon for women in a man dominated world we must change and we must change now. On our own soil we put women down for the simple fact of their gender. Is this the new age? The same old one we left with the a new shiny paint job. We can still come back from this if we all stand together to end women discrimination and prejudices that exist in our workforce.
