The 34th Infantry Regiment securing the island of Mindanao lasted until late September of 1945. Their efforts resulted in upward of 22,000 Japanese soldiers surrendering. More than 10,000 Japanese Soldiers died in combat on Mindanao. From April to August of 1945 approximately 820 U.S. soldiers were killed in eastern Mindanao and 2,880 were wounded.

The Blue Book emphasized the importance of selecting the best-qualified Soldier for noncommissioned officer positions. During the Civil War (1775-1783), the noncommissioned officers gained importance by leading and fighting from the front lines.
Organizational Setting: Army Reserve Careers Division The United States Army Reserve Careers Division (ARCD) is a specialized unit within the United States Army Reserve (USAR). ARCD is composed of Senior Noncommissioned Officers and field grade Commissioned Officer. These technical experts serve countless hours to ensure the strength and the readiness of the USAR is achieved according to the guidance set forth from the United States Congress. In order to get a full understanding of ARCD’s organizational setting, the following areas will be examined as it pertains to ARCD: mission of the organization, their customers, individual values added to the organization, and the role of Christianity in the organization.
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is a multiple-aptitude battery exam that evaluates developed skills and assists predict potential academic and occupational success in the military. In the end, people need to see that war is more than just killing. Some things are just about the experiences made at boot camp, The uncontrollable experiences that soldiers had to go through on the battlefield, and last of all the friendships that are made with comrades and others. These are just a couple things that war is about. In my class of Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps, I have gotten many weaknesses and strengths, but only a few are worth telling. I will first be starting off with two of my weaknesses.
