I. During this Art course I learned a lot about art that I was not aware about before. This course has helped me see art in a different perspective and I view art as something interesting, not something boring as I used too before I was enlightened. During my life I never viewed art as something important or something that people could learn from. When I took Art in high school, art was just about writing, using the tools, the warm colors, and the shapes. This art course has thought me so much about the history, the real meaning of art, and the many different types of art that have and do exist. From this Artwork I have learned that some people not only see art but some are capable of feeling the art work and admired it without their sense of sight. This course helped me to learn more in detail about the elements and principles of art. How the lines, shapes, colors, values, space and texture can help you understand and describe an artwork easily. I learned that by putting attention to any of these values the meaning of the artwork could change. The patterns, rhythm, proportion balance and unity also helped a lot with the meaning of any artwork. Understanding the elements and principles of the artwork is also part of the work, you need to play close attention to them and really think about it in order to really find your artwork interesting. Finding the meaning and context of any artwork I chose during the semester was also really interesting and something that I never did. I didn’t find art interesting but with all these assignments I now feel that art is something necessary in life and knowing the meaning and context of any famous artwork is something that could help you later
