The purpose of a speech is to move an audience and to gain a reaction from them. In speech there can be a purpose to entertain an audience or to inform. The difference between a persuasive speech and an informative speech is that one is to influence or convince and the other is to simply present information to an audience. Persuasive speech includes an opinion, persuasion of value and policy. The speaker should have an idea of an opinion to attempt to convince an audience their beliefs or way of thinking. The persuasion of value is to change the way of how the audience thinks which aids the main point of the speech. Lastly, the persuasion of policy is to take action or support someone else who will, can, or should take action towards the point
